Job Description

The Inventory Jr. Analyst role is responsible for utilizing a statistical and analytical approach to procurement and inventory management in order to leverage our world-class data processing capabilities and apply them in a variety of creative techniques and methods.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory and sales trends
  • Effectively use forecasting tools and reports for strategic product replenishment
  • Create and maintain purchase orders for regular replenishment, seasonal replenishment, volume orders, and specials
  • Ensure optimal pricing and profitability through margin control
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to improve sales and profitability
  • Track major metrics and KPIs on brand and category level
  • Create promotional and seasonal plans to maximize sales and increase Average Order Value (AOV)
  • Implement and manage mail-in rebates, instant rebates, and promotions
  • Assemble and merchandise complimentary product and promotional kits
  • Monitor rankings and web page traffic
  • Perform market research to identify new products and maintain a strong knowledge of the latest product offerings and report on competitive landscape

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; concentration in Economics, Purchasing, Business or Supply Chain is preferred
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and analyze complex data in order to make informed decisions
  • A sharp mind with an ability to grasp concepts quickly and work out solutions to complex logic problems
  • Experience in MS Office Suite, especially Excel is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to multi-task is a must
  • Ability to work well under the stress of deadline pressure
